Windham Fabrics – Quality, Creativity & a Little Bit of History

We’re rather fond of Windham Fabrics. There’s something about their designs that manages to combine beautiful traditional influences with fresh, contemporary ideas — exactly the sort of fabric that makes you want to stop what you’re doing and start making something!

Windham’s story goes back to 1955, when family-run Baum Textile Mills began supplying quality fabrics. The Windham Fabrics division followed in 1995, developing a particular reputation for beautiful quilting fabrics and working with a wonderfully diverse collection of artists and designers.

Their fabrics are made from 100% cotton and are beautifully suited to quilting, patchwork and sewing, but don’t feel they have to stop there. They’re equally at home in dressmaking, bags, cushions, home furnishings and all sorts of creative projects. Windham themselves describe their fabrics as suitable for apparel, accessories and home décor too.

The width is approximately 44" / 114cm, giving you plenty of lovely fabric to play with.

And, of course, being us, there’s another reason we like Windham — you don’t necessarily have to pay the usual price for such lovely fabric! We bring you genuine designer fabrics at our rather more exciting outlet prices.

Beautiful designs, excellent quality and plenty of possibilities. All that’s missing is deciding what you’re going to make first!
